What We Are Thankful for This Thanksgiving Season
Posted by: Sarah Lawen Smith Nov 22, 2025

1. Our All-Star Cast of Employees

First and foremost, we are exceedingly grateful for all our incredible employees who not only make all that we do possible, but who also make it fun. It is not uncommon to hear laughter mingled in with the sounds of the linen press and dishwasher back in the prep room, and the warehouse is no stranger to radio sing-a-longs and breaktime conversation. The lighthearted camaraderie among our little work family makes coming to work feel like coming home, and the positive attitudes and dedication are what make our customers feel welcome. We truly believe we have the best team of people, and we could not do what we do without them.

2. The Legacy Laid Down by Those before Us

In order to truly appreciate what we have, we have to be thankful for what came before and for the people that laid down the legacy that we strive to uphold. We are grateful for the late Phil and Edna Mullins who built this company from the ground up and established our place in the community, and to Mrs. Phyllis for shaping the company into what it is today. We are also thankful for all the other Mullins family members who have stepped in to fill various roles throughout the years, as well as all our previous employees who have helped set the standard for service that we still follow to this day.

3. Our Incredible Friends and Collaborators in the Industry

Like so many other industries, the weddings and event industry is by no means a one-man job. It takes a lot of collaboration and teamwork to get some of an event off the ground, and the people behind the North Alabama events industry are some of the best for making it happen. We have had the privilege of working with some amazing companies over the years, and we cannot be more grateful for the connections and lasting friendships we’ve formed with the talented professionals in our community.

4. The Unending Support of Our Families

We would be remiss if we did not express our gratitude to all our families. It is through their love and unending support that we can power through the busy seasons, early mornings, and late night afterhour runs. Our work family would not function as well as it does if not for our wonderful families at home. We love you all!

5. Our Customers in North Alabama and Beyond

Finally, of course, we are immensely thankful for all our incredible customers, old and new, who keep our lights on and food on our tables while also allowing us to do what we love to do. In the events business, we get to see all the important moments in life, from new beginnings to bittersweet goodbyes. Whether we are helping you pick out linens for your wedding, brainstorming ways to decorate a backdrop for a fundraiser, or making sure you have everything you need to celebrate a life that was, all we find ourselves saying again and again is thank you. Thank you for letting us be a part of all your big and little moments, thank you for letting us exercise our creative sides to help you bring your visions to life, and thank you for choosing us to come to again and again for all your event rental needs.
