Our Top 5 Showroom Looks of 2025

There is a lot that goes into what we do here at Mullins, most of which happens behind the scenes. However, one of our favorite aspects of the job is always front and center to anyone who visits us at the office, and that is our showroom. We love getting to be creative, testing out ideas, and challenging ourselves with new designs to showcase in our constantly rotating showroom displays. Our staff has built several really beautiful displays throughout the year, but some displays really stood out as our overall favorites. So without further ado, in no particular order, here is a breakdown of our top 5 showroom looks of 2025!

The Rosy Serpent

Serpentine tables were huge in the wedding scene this year, and looking at this whimsical tablescape it’s not hard to imagine why. This look from February featured two serpentine tables set end to end and draped in a skillfully pleated blush matte satin cloth. The place settings were built around a blue embossed charger and white scalloped dinner plate with chateau silverware set to each side. A stemmed water glass and stemless wine glass added to the dimension and balance of the setting, and these combined with crystal bud vases filled with pale pink flowers brought extra light and sparkle to the table. For seating, we went with simple white resin folding chairs that matched the snowy white plates and kept the finished look soft and bright. Overall, we especially loved the movement and dimension that this look embodied.

The Striped Lemon

This tablescape went up in the showroom window in April and was an instant eyecatcher, bringing a much-needed zing of playful color into the space. This look was built on an 8 foot banquet table and featured our new navy stripe cloth. Focusing on modern elegance and sleek lines, we set the table with crisp white square plates, brushed silver arezzo flatware, and our new 10.5 ounce collins glasses. We arranged faux lemon sprigs and green ball dianthus in reclaimed cobalt blue wine glasses to create simple but stunning centerpieces, and we chose lemon yellow satin napkins to bring more of that zippy contrast into the look. We chose elegant, rustic x-back chairs for seating, and the result was a finished look that was sophisticated, modern, and bright.

The Royal Velvet

To meet the needs of the recent resurgence in velvet popularity, we ordered in a brand-new stock of luscious velvet cloths at the beginning of the year. Once they arrived, we immediately put them to work. This regal tablescape was built around a rich black velvet cloth draped over a 6 foot banquet table. The place settings employed the use of layering and mixing multiple china sets to create a visually interesting, dimensional look. It featured a gold ribbed charger, blue embossed dinner plate, and heirloom charcoal salad plate. A white cotton napkin topped the plates, and brushed gold arezzo flatware sat to either side. For glasses, we chose the sleek silhouettes of the collins glass and the double old fashioned glass.  A royal blue iridescent crush runner spanned the length of the table to add a bold pop of color, and matching sashes adorned silver chiavari chairs. The look was completed with a pair of gold cluster tableabras that brought height to this absolutely decadent tablescape

The Floral & Coral

This look went up in the show room in April with the goal of showcasing our new party toile tablecloths, and it ended up being an unintentional showstopper. This 60 inch round table was draped in our black party toile cloth, and we honed in on the black theme by bringing in our heirloom charcoal china sets, complete with dinner plate, salad plate, and mug. We chose a coral satin napkin to bring in a pop of color, then we focused on the center of the table. We used one of our favorite techniques to create a unique centerpiece, using a glass table topper set on overturned votives to create a platform for our onyx tableabra. Since the platform is fully transparent, it allowed a clear view to the bed of flowers we placed underneath it. To create balance with the transparent tabletop elements, we chose our clear chiavari chairs for seating and topped them with black cushions for comfort. The contrast between light and dark in this tablescape made it truly striking to look at.

The Christmas Carousel

The last tablescape on our list scraped its way in at the last minute, but it certainly deserves its time in the spotlight. This Christmas table popped up in the showroom in November and really brought some holiday cheer into those gloomy winter days. This 60 inch round table was fully decked out in glittering iridescent crush linens, red for the tablecloth and white for the topper. The pairing of our ornate majestic china with our rustic rattan chargers said, “I am lavish but not unapproachable,” and the addition of our plaza flatware contributed more elegance with function. Our crystal carousel goblets filled with hunter green napkin roses perfectly completed the settings. For the centerpiece, we placed a silver tiered tray atop an ornate silver cake stand and decorated it with garlands, ornaments, and coils of red iridescent crush sashes. Rustic x-back chairs tied in with the chargers to complete the look.
