The fall season has one of the most naturally beautiful and cohesive color palettes with its rich browns, oranges, and golds. The season is so beautiful, it’s hard not to take inspiration from the changing season around you. So why fight it? Give in to the pull of the pumpkin spice season and take a look at these 8 fall inspired looks!
Apple Orchard
Fall is apple harvest season, and the warm colors of the late-season apple trees and their perfectly ripe fruit provide wonderful inspiration for a fall color palette. For this look, we chose a fall-toned plaid (BBJ Voyager Taffy) and paired it with burnt sienna and fern colored accents to bring out the thin stripes of the plaid. For tableware, we chose a gold-banded ivory plate to go with the natural base of the cloth, and we paired this with a matching cup and saucer. Gold arezzo flatware finish the look. To style this look further, consider adding woven or rattan chargers under the plates and using fresh apples or dried apple slices in your flower arrangements.
October Sunset
Those early evening October sunsets are the perfect reflection of the rustling trees and fallen leaves of the season. For this sunset inspired look, we chose a textured blush cloth with gold accents (BBJ Louvre Cameo) as a statement runner and paired it with a coordinating rust velvet linen and a matching gold napkin. To compliment the luxurious feel of the linens, we chose our ornate majestic plates for tableware and paired them with gold arezzo flatware and amber carousel goblets. To complete this look, we suggest adding further gold accents using chargers, napkin rings, or name cards and choosing florals that bring out the blush and rust tones of the linens.
Harvest Cornucopia
For this look, we wanted to keep things neutral, drawing inspiration from a harvest basket or Thanksgiving cornucopia. We chose a multi-toned woven cloth for our statement linen (BBJ Basketweave Natural) and paired it with subtly textured beige linen and ivory accents. For tableware, we choose to add more subtle texture with our white scalloped plates and matching cup and saucer. The delicate floral and scroll details on our chateau flatware compliment the china, finishing the look. To further style this look, choose natural woven accent pieces. For florals, you can either continue to the neutral theme with dried leaves and twigs with muted yellow and orange florals, or you can use the neutral linens as a backdrop for more vibrant fall florals that mimic the colors of a bountiful harvest.
Warm Charcoal
Fall is the season for harvest festivals, hayrides, and bonfires, and this look is inspired by that warm feeling at the end of the night when the fire has burned down to embers. Our main cloth for this look is a textured black and gray linen that resembles charcoal with a light coating of ash (BBJ Meteor). This linen pairs beautifully with gray velvet and charcoal accents. For tableware, we chose our new charcoal plates and mug, and we added our silver plaza flatware to complete the look. To style this look, choose black and silver accent pieces with moody black and orange floral arrangements. Finish it off with actual firelight by adding burning candles in slender candlesticks.
Turning Leaves
Leaves changing colors from bright green to coppery brown is the first indication that fall is on its way. The turning of the leaves provides wonderful inspiration for a fall event palette. For this look, we chose a textured light orange Runner (BBJ Crest Persimmon) to run over a light olive cloth, and we accented it with a butterscotch napkin. We wanted to keep this look light for a breezy autumn day, so we chose our white scalloped plates and chateau flatware for tableware, and we added our clear crystal carousel goblets to complete the setting. To style this look, we suggest adding fall leaves, dried fruit, and small pumpkins and gourds to the table.
Southbound Migration
This look is inspired by our intrepid feathered migrators who spend the colder months along the southern coast. We chose a gorgeous floral cloth with reds, oranges, and teals (BBJ Fiore) and paired it with a beautiful mallard velvet runner and bright saffron napkin to pull out colors from the main cloth. For tableware, we chose a silver-banded white plate, silver arezzo flatware, and a stemmed crystal water glass. To style this look further, we suggest choosing wooden and silver accents, and we suggest opting for florals in varying shades of orange, red, gold, and teal.
Midnight Pumpkin
You can’t have fall without a mention of Halloween. There are many ways to style your event around this late October holiday, from colorful and spooky to gothic and glamorous. For this look we were specifically inspired by the friendly jack o’lanterns that smile from our porches late into the night. We chose a subtly metallic copper runner with black stitching for the highlight of this look (BBJ Jupiter), and we paired it with a complimentary eggplant linen and matching copper matte satin napkins. Our charcoal dinnerware set goes beautifully with these colors, and our silver arezzo flatware finishes the look. We suggest styling this look with other silver accent pieces and adding more depth of color by choosing florals in orange, purple, burgundy, and taupe.
Autumn Sky
Our final look for the fall season is inspired by the fall leaves against the autumn sky. For this look, we chose a patterned cloth dappled with coppery browns and sagey blues (BBJ Fresco Terra). We chose sage and chestnut accents to highlight these colors, and we paired these linens with a gold-banded ivory plate, gold arezzo flatware, and a stemmed crystal mug. To style this look, choose gold and copper metallic accents and dress the center of the table with sage fronds and florals in burnt orange, ivory, gold, and blush.
