5 Tablescape Designs to Inspire Your Easter Brunch
Posted by: Sarah Lawen Smith Mar 22, 2025

Easter is the first holiday of the spring season, and it is aptly considered the day to celebrate the renewal of life. There are many traditions surrounding the Easter holiday, whether religious, cultural, or familial, but one of the traditions that is common across all three is sharing an Easter brunch with your close family and friends. For some this is an informal affair that preludes the rest of the day’s activities, and for some it is the main event. Either way, if you are looking to create a beautiful and inviting tablescape for your Easter brunch this year, you’ve come to the right place. Here are 5 elegant tablescape designs to inspire your own Easter decorations.

Tulips and Easter Eggs

For this design, we wanted to embody the excitement of an Easter morning egg hunt, so we chose a base linen with a bright, colorful, and fun pattern (BBJ Picado). We then chose a simple white runner or overlay to layer over the base linen and create a clean backdrop for a playful centerpiece composed of colorful Easter eggs, plush rabbit toys, and cheerful spring tulips. For the place setting, we chose to pull from the base linen’s colors with a blue embossed plate and a pink trimmed napkin (BBJ Boca with Watermelon Trim), and we finished the setting with a simple chateau silver flatware set and a stemmed water glass.

Wicker and Roses

We designed our second tablescape with elegance in mind making it perfect for a formal Easter brunch. For the base linen, we chose a beautiful neutral plaid with lines of muted blue, yellow, and red (BBJ Voyager Patina). For the place setting, we chose a matching muted red napkin (BBJ Tuscany Spice), an ivory plate with gold trim, a woven rattan charger, and a set of sleek gold flatware. For a drink glass, we decided to use our beautiful amber carousel goblets to bring out more gold tones. The centerpieces we imagine for this design include wicker or glazed ceramic vases filled with plenty of greenery and pops of color from salmon, peach, and ivory roses. You can even mix in some simple candlesticks or pillar candles for some elegant, natural lighting.

Carrots and Check

We wanted to include one design for the lovers of all things natural and neutral, so for this design we picked a large white and beige check for the base linen (BBJ Check Travertine). We then layered on a matching beige, gauzy runner for texture. For the place setting, we chose to pair a simple white napkin with the clean lines of a white square plate, and we accessorized with gold flatware and a multifunctional stemless wine glass. The centerpiece of this design is where you can really have fun, including colorful spring vegetables like carrots, radishes, and chard. While you are decorating with food, you can also display a delicious carrot cake for after the meal, or you can leave a slice at each guest’s plate for. You can also mix in some simple bouquets of seasonal flowers for an added pop of color.

Bunnies and Baskets

This design, like the first, is cheery, colorful, and sure to bring out everyone’s inner child, but it is more subdued for those who prefer a simpler approach to whimsy. We started with a pink base linen with a delicate striped woven pattern (BBJ Essex Berry) and layered it with a pale green runner (BBJ Hemstitch Meadow). The place settings themselves start with a matching pale green napkin, and they are filled out with lacey white scalloped plates, silver plaza flatware, and an elegant silver rimmed glass. The centerpiece for this design can be as simple or busy as you like, but we recommend starting with some basic white flowers and accessorizing with filled Easter baskets and other spring and Easter related tchotchkes.

Silver and Daffodils

For our final design, we wanted to create an Easter tablescape that was celebratory of new spring life and growth in general. To begin, we chose a white base linen with a delicate pattern of green leaves and fronds (BBJ Honeysuckle Meadow). We chose a matching sage green napkin for the place setting (BBJ Lennox Sage) and partnered it with a silver rimmed plate, simple silver flatware, and an all-purpose stemless wine glass. For the centerpiece we wanted to keep things simple and pay homage to perhaps the most recognizable spring flower, the daffodil. Pots, vases, or loose cuttings of daffodils make for a simple, bright, and cheerful centerpiece on their own, but you can also pair them with painted ceramics in coordinating colors, woven baskets of colorful local eggs, or some simple votive candles.
