- Decide on a budget for
the flowers or decorations. A good place to start is
10% of the cost of the event. Adjustments
can be made from that point.
- Have a planner, professional or friend, on site to be
sure everything is complete. Sometimes the coordinator
is needed to greet the guests and make them feel welcome.
- It helps to have a few people with a “heads up”
to start the buffet, start a toast, lead the dance line,
etc…. This is if you have a shy crowd and no one
wants to lead.
- Assign someone to pin on the personal flowers from a
prepared list. This should be someone that knows who
the dignitaries are. (Maybe a spouse
at the rehearsal dinner.)
